I'd agree with you anon if my country had the lowest rates but we didn't, we had the worst rates, people used to change their accounts to Argentina and top up for dirt cheap, when inflation started a few months ago, it was cheaper to buy from the in-game currency from Google Play Store than converting USD, but now they fucked us over and it's more expensive than fucking USD, only buying from PSN is close to the "normal" rate. Obviously there were enough of them doing it that miHoYo was losing big money and stood to gain more from stopping this than upsetting however many people from those countries were buying legitimately.

They changed the price because people from those markets were using VPNs to buy the discounted currency. any market outside of China, JP, NA or EU largely does not matter. No, i play on Android which was the most annoying thing, they did say they would increase the pricing in Iphone but they did that shit too on Android. I don't fucking get it, i know for a fact of multiple people that used to but a few hundred of dollars (dolphins) on the game when it wasn't expensive as fuck (game used to be 10ish% cheaper than USA), now that they fucked us over, all of them stopped using money on the game, some of them outright dropped the game, i don't get it, why increase prices and stop getting top-ups from dolphins hoping for a bit more on whales than getting a bit less money for guaranteed sales on dolphins, low income players? The only "whale" from my country only spent around 3k usd on his account and i don't even think that's a whale in other countries, but again, it's a fucking 3rd world country with some of the shittiest minimum wages, why fuck us over and stop getting the few bucks that we gave before? fucking chinks man, greedy fucking chinks.
